Our first order of paperbacks arrived today! We now have 100 novels to sell at our launch party on June 25th. Paperback pre-orders will be available on June 14th. We'll keep you posted.
ANOM: Awakening just got a mention on a Superhero Novel website. The name of the site is, ironically enough, SuperheroNovels.com. You can check out the link here. Thanks to Eric Searleman for the reference!
Vanessa and I are happy to announce that we will host a Launch Party Open House at Alaura's Kitchen in Pitman, New Jersey on June 25, 2016.
There will be lots of updates as the launch gets closer, but the party will be held at Alaura's Kitchen from the hours of 2:00 - 4:00 on June 25th.
We plan on having door prizes, a reading from the novel (performed by myself) and lots and LOTS of ice cream.
We hope you will all plan to join us to celebrate the occasion!
Join me in congratulating Andreea Vraciu on her winning cover design. Thank you all for offering your insights and opinions about the designs. It was a difficult decision, but we couldn't be happier with the final result!
ANOM: Awakening, the first novel from debut author Jason R. James, will be available for purchase through Amazon.com on June 25, 2016!
This is your last call to vote on the cover for ANOM: Awakening!
I'm making my decision on Saturday, and right now the results are too close to call. I would love to get as much feedback as possible before I make a final decision.

I've started looking for the perfect cover for my novel and I've narrowed my search down to 3 finalists. Now I'm asking for your help because I honestly can't decide.
Please use the link below and take a couple of minutes to rate the three designs. Any comments or insights you can give about WHY you made your choice would be extra-helpful. Think about this question as you make your choice: Which of these three novels would I most likely buy from Amazon and why?

Earlier this morning I received my revised manuscript from my editor at Invisible Ink Editing. These will prove to be the last substantive changes to the book.
In other words, once I've made these revisions, ANOM: Awakening will exist in it's finalized form -- the same exact form it will take when published on Amazon later this year.
It's hard to describe how excited I am. After what feels like a very long time, I can finally see my finish line.
For next week's blog post, I would like to answer some of the big questions I've received since launching my webpage and announcing my novel.
If you would like to ask a question before next week's article, you can contact me here.
I would also encourage you to sign up for my monthly newsletter so you don't miss out on any important news and/or exclusive offers regarding my debut novel, ANOM: Awakening. You can sign up for the newsletter here.
The original manuscript, ANOM: Awakening, was sent today to Invisible Ink Editing.
Invisible Ink Editing is a small editing team with very good prices for the services they offer. I found Invisible Ink a couple of months ago when I was searching online for an editor for my book. At that time, I exchanged several e-mails with Liam Carnahan, founder and chief editor of Invisible Ink. I appreciated how accessible he was, and his willingness to answer all my novice questions (Liam usually responded to my e-mails on the same day).
Then I sent in the first 20 pages of my book for a "sample edit" and when I saw the results, I was hooked (you'd have to ask Vanessa about it, but there may have even been tears of joy when I read some of their suggestions). The changes suggested on those first pages were exactly what I needed. It kept my "voice" in tact, but made the story sing.
I immediately scheduled a day in February to send in my completed manuscript, and finally, that day is here.
Today is an exciting step on the road to my ultimate goal of publication. Now I just have to (patiently) wait for the results of Liam's editing . . . a task easier said than done.
